House moves toward border vote (Millions in taxpayer $$$ to Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras...)

House Republicans were sprinting to the finish line Thursday to secure every last vote to pass an emergency funding measure to address the humanitarian crisis on the southern border in a dramatic and chaotic final day of the summer session.

Though a few House Democrats will join the GOP majority to back a $659 million emergency funding package, Republicans don’t want to rely on them to get the necessary votes to secure final passage.

Still, some conservatives were reticent ahead of votes expected Thursday afternoon, even after House Republican leaders threw some red meat to the right by adding a vote that would to block expansion of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. That program protects young undocumented immigrants who grew up in the United States from deportations.

“I don’t like it,” Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga.) said of the two-step strategy Thursday morning. He plans to vote against the supplemental package. “We need to get rid of DACA, and the bill itself is bad.”

And Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Texas) said he still had concerns with the border-crisis package, though he refused to elaborate.

Securing our border is just too expensive, but paying the invaders millions/billions of dollars is not.
This is the way Democrats and RINOs think: “Millions for tribute, but not one penny for defense!”

We could build a complete double walled fence along the southern border for considerably less than this diabolical re-rape of the American taxpayer is going to cost. Congress is a corrupt anti-american organization comprised of morons, idiots and Marxists. But I repeat myself.

Instead of sending that money to other countries use it here to control our border.

Let them all come, collect every welfare benefit possible, after flying them to Hawaii.

Enjoy your boy king.

Brief Analysis of the House Republican Leadership's Secure the Southwest Border Supplemental Appropriations Act and the Secure the Southwest Border Act of 2014

"The other half of the bill, Division B, deals with what the authors conceive of as border security provisions. They are nothing of the sort: Buried in them is a Trojan Horse permitting unaccompanied minors to ask for adjustment of status to lawful permanent residence (a "green card") based simply on a "special motion" to an immigration judge instead of meeting the criteria for relief that are established by law. The language is almost exactly that previously seen in the Cornyn-Cuellar HUMANE Act; only the order of presentation has shifted."

While the appropriations sections of the bill are a great improvement over the President's request, and focus government spending more directly on repatriation of the families and children who crossed in the surge, the sections of the bill addressing the processing of unaccompanied alien children are little more than a repackaging of the worst elements of the HUMANE Act.

There is nothing in the provisions of Division B of this bill that merits serious consideration by any member of Congress truly interested in abating the flow of minors and family units northward.

A great rumor to start south of the border would be that the US has scientifically determined that many of those countries are soon to be destroyed in an unspecified disaster, so we are encouraging them to send their children here, “so that there will be *some* survivors.”
