This was announced by Minister of Defense of Poland Tomasz Semonyak on air of Polish radio PIN, reports EvroPravda.
"I see an increasing openness, in particular the United States. In April, President Barack Obama's decision about what can be delivered not lethal weapons, and it seems to me that at the September Summit would be too certain proposals in the context of the Ukraine, "he said, responding to a question about the supply of arms to the Ukrainian military.
At the same time Tomas Semonyak praised the Ukrainian army, noting that, despite earlier problems with corruption and the underfinanced, it has "good technique." Arms will help, but will not accept NATO-which can give Ukraine the status of co-belligerent States
The Minister also expressed the view that assistance to NATO allies should be designed for the longer term, to "the Ukrainians felt that belong to the family of Western armies."
The North Atlantic Alliance found its unwillingness to attack Russia, noting that the situation in Ukraine should be a wake-up call. According to the report, the chance of an attack on a member of the Alliance is still small, but it has value, so it is worth taking into account. Literal translation? Here is a literal translation from the White House: Ukraine is on its own, maybe some boots and canned beans from the USA. Putin will respect us not getting involved and pull back.
