Well, the Germans did hand the Russians quite a beating. Pound for pound the Germans were superior, they just couldn't cope with the sheer amount of Russian bodies coming towards them.

The Soviets trademarked that old tactic of only giving the first wave of soldiers guns, so after they died wave 2 would pick them up and go a bit further, wave 3 a bit further after that...Then we had to deal with the same sh** from the Koreans. Unfortunately for the Koreans, Americans just don't lose.

For all the Koreans? I seem to recall a certain “Juche” regime there since the 50s. If “Americans don’t lose”, then Kim Il-sung should have died in a US military prison, preferably by execution. And the Mao regime should have lasted only a few months after they dared to attack US forces—but then Truman made the error of firing MacArthur.

A losing side is a losing side. Numbers tell nothing of the story, nor does technological level. It’s not “quite a beating” if your opponent gets up and finishes you off.
