Back in 2009 I was on vacation in DC.
Walking past the west side of the WH complex when security shut down all the traffic, vehicle and pedestrian.

After 10 mins or so, an entourage of vehicles comes out the driveway with Joe Biden in an armored Suburban waving to the “crowd” thru the bulletproof glass.
