Speaker John Bohner (R-OH) announced this afternoon that the House will not be voting on his $659 million border bill before adjourning for the August recess.
This is a wise decision since giving President Obama any additional funds for the border would just make it easier for him to enact his next unilateral amnesty.
Supposedly, Obama has the legal authority to grant temporary amnesty (aka "deferred action" or "non priority enforcement" status) to anyone he wants to, whenever he wants to, based on his inherent "prosecutorial discretion" as the nation's chief law enforcement officer.
Congress, this legal theory reasons, has not allocated the funds necessary to deport all 11 million illegal immigrants, so in order to conserve resources Obama must decide which of the 11 million illegal immigrants he will or will not deport. In this sense, true prosecutorial discretion should save the executive branch money.
But Obama's 2012 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals is an unprecedented abuse of that prosecutorial discretion. Obama isn't just deciding which illegal immigrants he will or will not pursue. He is also granting those that meet his made up criteria a special new status that also allows them to get work permits, a Social Security number, and a drivers license.
Setting up a new legalization program and adminsitering the many new rules for who does and does not qualify for that program costs a lot of money. But Congress never approved Obama's amnesty and never approved any money for it.
So where did Obama get this money?

Obama will just write the check and the house will cash it.
Why does it have to cost anything?
If we let them in, let them in and let them support themselves.
What Obama is doing is criminal TWICE over
The only thing we ever worry about "paying for" is tax cuts.
I will answer that: he will reprogram some funds....those for the military and get to the point where he abolishes all but the Joint Chiefs and his AF1 crew.
The Great Nobel Prize Winning Economist (at the time when the prize still meant something ), Milton Friedman said that you can have open borders or you can have the welfare state, but you cannot have both.
Heres a video where he says this:

Pay for it??? When did figuring out how to pay for something ever stop him?
If the wealthy would just pay a little more in taxes so that they paid their fair share to help those in need, we would have all the money we needed to pay for all this.
If people think we have a border problem now, just wait till Barack issues his illegal Amnesty without any additional border security.
You can have open borders or you can have a sovereign nation. Not both.
Haven't seen this anywhere else, if true.
The VA has lots of money ,he’ll take some of that ,he’ll take from Americans and give to The Obama Illegals
Why can’t the States sue for the costs of “deferred action” or “non priority enforcement” and prosecutorial discretion???
RE: Why cant the States sue for the costs of deferred action or non priority enforcement and prosecutorial discretion???
If the Executive Branch refuses to enforce the law,
All these lawsuits, threats, etc. against the Executive Branch will mean nothing unless there is a threat of punishment or non-cooperation by the states.
I’d like to see the states put these kids on a bus and then send them to Washington DC.
That would be a nice showdown to watch...
Regarding Obama's amnesty funding, the horse has already escaped the barn imo.
More specifically, Obama's initially Democratic-controlled Congress completely defeated the purpose for the Constitution's Clause 1 of Section 7 of Article I which James Madison had regarded as the "power of the purse" in Federalist 58.
The House of Representatives cannot only refuse, but they alone can propose, the supplies requisite for the support of government. They, in a word, hold the purse that powerful instrument by which we behold, in the history of the British Constitution, an infant and humble representation of the people gradually enlarging the sphere of its activity and importance, and finally reducing, as far as it seems to have wished, all the overgrown prerogatives of the other branches of the government. This power over the purse may, in fact, be regarded as the most complete and effectual weapon with which any constitution can arm the immediate representatives of the people, for obtaining a redress of every grievance, and for carrying into effect every just and salutary measure [emphasis added] James Madison, The Federalist Papers : No. 58.
By giving Obama a blank check camouflaged as the so-called Stimulus Package, the Democratic Congress at the time essentially told Obama not to worry about Congress later trying to stop his constitutionally indefensible projects by not funding them.
We have been told for years that all immigrants, legal and illegal, are contributors not takers.
So I would say the question is irrelevant!
(supreme sarcasm)
The states will be left holding most of the bill, while the rest will be borrowed against the future of American children. But truthfully, Obama’s arrogance is beyond this country’s ability to pay for it, so we won’t. The people coming here won’t be lifted up. The rest of us will be dragged down.
He will just steal more from our kids and grand-kids.
He has it down to a science.
“So where did Obama get this money?’
From “his stash”, of course!
