Probably collapsed his wind pipe and the loss of oxygen caused the heart attack.
Asking inner-city blacks to act reasonable around a cop is like asking for the moon! I just saw the supposedly chokehold video on the pregnant woman and I was on the cop’s side! What a moose that woman was.
“My point is that it didnt have to be an enormous use of force to cause his death. They had him on the ground but even handcuffing him in that position was probably enough to make it impossible for him to breathe and trigger a heart attack.”
So there should have been some recognition of the man’s physical condition! The fact is that anyone who is compromised healthwise, should be easier to control. What we have here is a one size fits all response. Cops evidently don’t care about anyone but themselves. Their safety over everything else, even when the circumstances don’t indicate that they need to go all out. Getting control of a citizen should be the measure of a successful cop. Not taking the opportunity to beat the living $hit out of someone because you know it’s better than even money you will be able to get away with it. It would be one thing if this behavior were the exception. but it has become the norm. Just look at what our “beloved” sheriff’s deputy up in Santa Rosa did when he killed the kid with the AK look alike. He put eight or nine rounds into that child. And it looks as though he will get away with murder.
Looks as though your theory about this guys death didn’t pan out.
TOTTENVILLE (WABC) — The New York Medical Examiner has ruled Eric Garner died from a chokehold used by a police officer during his arrest for selling untaxed, loose cigarettes last month, calling it a homicide.
The autopsy found that Garner, 43, died as a result of compression of neck, compression of chest and prone positioning during physical restraint by police.
