It’s a great movie; but it makes a pitch for “one-world”,
which was a common theme of the establishment during World War II.

(Wonder what ever came of that idea...?)

Yes, it did make a pitch for “one-world,” which was basically its function. It completely misrepresented the League of Nations Debate. The reality is that the irreconcilables won the debate by logically examining the underlying issues before the American public.

The initial public reaction to Wilson's proposal was overwhelmingly favorable (November, 1918). But by early 1920, it was clearly understood as an attack on American fundamental principles.

For a summation on what was involved in that debate, see League Of Nations.

"Wilson"--the movie--was heavily promoted, and was part of a campaign to steam-roller the UN through the Senate in 1945. The big lie, that those who stood up for traditional American values were benighted isolationists, continues to this day in Leftwing Academia & among their media parrots; but it was & is a lie.
