Why. Now.

Shaking my head.

I realize the source for the article regarding the results of the investigation is a dem. He is giving the media their talking points prior to Gowdy’s hearings.

But still, why even release the report before Gowdy’s hearings, which start in early September? That's on the heads of the Republicans on the committee.

Per the article “U.S. intelligence agencies will have to approve making the report public.”

I can see this play out now:

1. Committee votes to make report public.
2. The talking points from Thompson are really nothing new. The dems have been claiming these points all along.
3. Intelligence Agencies either do not approve release of report or redact it in such a way that the only items made public are those which obliquely support points made by Thompson.

The dem strategy to fight the findings of the Benghazi select committee is to taint the jury pool in the court of public opinion.

By voting for the release of the report, the GOP fell for it (or went along with it) hook, line & sinker.

If nothing else, the GOP is consistent. Consistent losers.

I vote for “went along with it”. No change from the anti-Reagan attitudes of 1976.
