This is a Christian doctor who has put his life on the line fighting ebola, and could die as a result. I think we can trust he is going to act responsibly.
Agreed.
You must be a woman.
Responsibly would be staying where he was until he went through a quarantine to assure he's "safe" before entering the US. Responsibly would be figuring out how supposedly well-protected people got the disease before anyone who might have been infected left.
Trusting the CDC with his care is another matter entirely:

Christian doctor without sense to pour piss out of a boot. What has he done, even once, do demonstrate that he can be trusted to act responsibly?
The status of his soul has nothing to do with his state of dumbassery.
There is often a stiff price for being a do-gooder.
I agree. I am a medical technologist so I understand the way various diseases are transmitted. With Ebola, there is no danger to the public unless they are directly exposed to his blood or body fluids. Unless he was hemorrhaging as he walked into the hospital, that is unlikely to happen.
When God is in his mind, yes; when Ebola is in his mind that is a foolish bet. It is a known fact that Ebola infected individuals do NOT always act in ways of which their healthy selves would be proud, including infected Americans who love their families.
This is a Christian doctor who has put his life on the line fighting ebola, and could die as a result. I think we can trust he is going to act responsibly.

Thank you for the voice of common sense! ;-)
Triage. He already is not acting responsible
“I think we can trust he is going to act responsibly.”
No we can’t. The disease causes irrational behavior. There are plenty of examples from recent events.
