I’ve often wondered about the larded bullets approach. Sometimes the good guys can use the bad guys’ superstitions against them.
That is kind of like trying to shoot the devil dead.
The more humble people will realize that God is going to have to get seriously embraced in their spiritual battles.
We haven't won yet, because we haven't done that. We celebrate how they built the foundations of this country, how they are a peaceful religion, etc. Did Reagan win the cold war by praising Soviet accomplishments, or instructing NASA to make Russians feel proud of themselves? No, he did it by calling out the superiority of our system.
Ultimately, indulging in evil for short term gain will come back and entangle you too.
Might Martin Luther have never needed to leave the Roman Catholic church had it not embraced such tactics from the papal level?
