Way to go, Mom! Reminds me of the father that took his daughter’s laptop (or whatever) after he told her not to violate his standards. She did and he did. The big deal was Dad promised to shoot her device with his .45 and did so and then posted it online. The usual suspects went nuts and foamed about violence and implied threats and all the usual blather.

Draw a line, Mom and Dad. The kiddies need them to keep them from the bad people in the world.

My kids get a ham radio after they pass their technician exam. Want to communicate? Set freq at 144.960 MHz

My sister in law shut down my niece’s Facebook page last summer when they caught her posting unacceptable stuff. She may be back on by now but has her account checked daily to see what she’s posting. Kids ya gotta watch em every minute. LOL!

You cannot watch them every minute.

Facebook after ninth grade- until they learn how to communicate in full sentences verbally.

Their upbringing is too important to leave the rules up to them.

No.

That is a very short word

We are raising children to run this country. How we leave it for them and what kind of condition they are in to run it is our responsibility.

No laptop ad no dataphone until after they know how to communicate.

High school

No.

This a case that just screams for Hillary Clinton. She supported this sort of law suit...

Good one.

I know a kid here who, if she wasn’t watched literally every minute, would have met with disaster. At one minute out of sight (three years old) on top of the refrigerator, examining the out of reach knife collection, wearing a Disney Beauty and the Beast full length gown

evry minute, I take literally. And at 12 years old it’s no different.

No electronic communication until they can make those decisions wisely, after proper knowledge on face to face communication, and certainly not until after establishing good study habits. They don’t have a lot of time.
