Let me type slow so you can understand. I would continue the investigation with the clear understanding that if the President appears guilty of using an agency against tax paying Americans, then impeachment is a real possibility.
Right now, what threat does any of these scandals have knowing he will pardon every one of them on his way out the door. Why should they cooperate since there is no punishment in the end.
Is that clear enough or do you need a twenty page manual? I have one of those available which explains why. I will be happy to send it to you. Is that clear enough?

Let me write this in crayon so YOU understand. The GOP leadership has effectively taken impeachment off the table. They don’t have the will/balls/etc to do it. It’s NOT a real possibility unless every establishment Repu lican is tossed out in the mid terms in the House AND Senate.
