In many cases they are too lazy to even vote.

Low Voter Turnout in Primaries Has Dems Especially Worried

While it directly talks about democrats, the overall numbers are atrocious. Read on...

The Center for the Study of the American Electorate released a report last week showing turnout in the 25 states that have already held statewide primaries dropped 3.5 percent from 2010 to 14.8 percent of the voting-age population. Turnout in 15 of those states hit record lows.

As I said on that thread:

This is very frustrating to me! So many here talk about defeating RINOs in the primary, and a TEA candidate runs against them (or several, which is a problem) and THEN nobody turns out to vote for them, and the RINO, admittedly with far more money and name recognition, easily wins.

You could say the RINOs are dastardly (I’d agree), pulling out all stops to even get democrats to vote for them, but none of this would matter if only enough conservatives actually voted.

When I was in the military (22 years) and overseas, I could not vote. For about an 8 year period I had every one of my absentee ballots invalidated or wanting more information AFTER the election was over (Florida). This was so frustrating, that I vowed that when I returned stateside I would NEVER miss another election, even if it was for dogcatcher.

And I haven’t. It is not that difficult to vote, even if you’re as busy as a cat in a roomful of rocking chairs, to vote in any and all elections.

There simply is no excuse for a primary seeing a 14% turnout. At least for conservatives who see their country being destroyed and the cultural Left taking over. So many advocate opening the ammo box, when they didn’t even use the ballot box. Disgusting!

Also, one more thing. This is a quote from the Leftist run Politifact website:

Gallup poll: For 2011, Gallup found that the largest group of Americans identify as conservative, at 40 percent. Another 35 percent identify as moderate, while 21 percent identify as liberal. That trend has fluctuated a bit over the years, with moderates sometimes slightly outnumbering liberals.

I honestly think conservative numbers are higher. The article goes on to quote the Battleground Poll, run by Republican Ed Goeas and democrat Celinda Lake, who do not allow respondents to choose Moderate, find that 60 percent of the American people are conservative. Quote:

Pollster Ed Goeas said those results have been fairly consistent since 1991. "I've never seen ‘conservative’ below 57 percent," he said. "‘Liberal’ has always been in the 33, 34 percent range. ... I don't think I've ever seen it more than 38 percent."

So my question is with so many professing to be conservative, and Obama destroying our country and trampling conservatism, while Boehner and the RINOs go along to get along, flooding the country with illegals to be able to successfully mine their votes for decades as democrats, with our troops abandoned in Benghazi while Obama goes fundraising, while or veterans seeking medical care are ignored and die, while government tax revenuers use IRS agents against us, with all of these things and so much more...HOW is it possible that the average primary percentage is at 14%???? We're doing something wrong.

I agree with all of this. But, conservatives fail to follow up on our beliefs after we vote!

We have to keep going in both support for candidates, even more liberal Republicans, as well as voter education.

How many times do we send donations and/or comments to incumbents? Rarely, IMHO. Liberal Republican office holders have to hear from us to keep them conservative and let them know we’re watching, organizing and voting. The only reason someone like Boehner can ignore us or disparage tea party supporters is because he doesn’t hear from us enough.
