Battle Ensues On Fox News Sunday Over Existence of Racism In Opposition To President Obama (VIDEO)
News Busters ^ | August 3 2014 | Jeffrey Meyer

On Sunday, August 3, a panel discussion on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace broke out into a heated debate over whether or not opposition to President Obama’s policies had racial undertones. Juan Williams, former NPR reporter and current Fox News contributor, argued that "the Republican Party has become almost a completely white party."

For his part, Michael Needham, CEO of Heritage Action sharply criticized Williams and insisted "you’re demonizing good people who are concerned about a president who’s completely out of control." [See video below.]

The debate between Needham and Williams began with moderator Chris Wallace asking Williams "do you think that the Republican opposition to this president, you heard Hakeem Jeffries talk about hatred, is racial or do you think it is based on principles and policies?" The former NPR reporter immediately used Wallace’s questioning as a jumping off point to attack conservatives as having a racial bias against President Obama:

If you look at the core constituency, the people who are in let’s say Tea Party opposition support of impeachment there's no diversity. It's a white older group of people.

Michael Needham took great offense to the liberal Fox News contributor’s argument and shot back:

Chris, if you were to open up your dictionary to the word irony, you would find Juan Williams in there claiming I'm demonizing people because I’m saying that the President of the United States is lawless which by the way the Supreme Court agreed with by a 9-0..

Needham continued to condemn Williams' attack on conservatives:

You think there’s any racial element to the impeachment thing? That's a ridiculous ironic statement. You're the one demonizing people who are concerned about the fact that we have a crisis of the constitution. With Jonathan Turley a liberal law professor, just testified

I wonder if Juan ever gets tired of being an idiot? I’ve even seen his own (conservative) son confront him over his stupidity.

Damning your rock by faint praise, I see. I’d have thought that you’d be more courteous than that. :>)

I used to think more of Williams, but apparently he is either off his meds or over - indulging in stupid pills. Why is EVERYTHING racism with that moron?

The Leftists basic approach is: “You don’t like Obama’s tax policy? You don’t like his healthcare policy? You don’t like his policy toward Israel? Come here — let me see the back of your hand. Well: that looks mighty white. I say you’re a white boy. You know what I think of white boys gettin’ all high and mighty and dissin’ my president? I say that’s mighty racist of you. Now shut up and learn your place.”

It’s about time someone stood up to the race mongers who blame opposition to Obama’s policies as racism. Needham, appropriately, accused Williams of calling him a racist (which Williams did). Williams got defensive and for once didn’t continue his rant.

I’m trying not to read the full article because I like to watch that show at 5PM instead of in the morning.

Juan is like all of the Blacks in politics, racism is their mantra - it has to be because Obama is their idol and they can’t admit he’s wrong about anything.

And, has anyone else noticed that Obama is much darker in complection than he used to be? Really, if you look back to when he first ran and became President he was really light skinned.

Maybe it’s all the golfing in the sunshine??

"the Republican Party has become almost a completely white party."

Am reading a book about the leadup to the Civil War.

A similar stick was used by the Democrats to beat the GOP back then, too. Only in that case it was that the GOP was a "regional party," with only the Democrats still being a national party.

While the accusation was true, it assumes, like the modern version, that those choosing to not participate in a party or movement are somehow more right than those who do join up.

Nikki Haley and Bobby Jindal showing that Asians have a home in the Republican Party

They aren't what "Asian" means, generally, in this country.

The term usually means East Asians, not people with roots in India.

NJ is filling with “people with roots in India”; they are also settling in PA. We have “East Asians” as well, but they don’t have the same population growth as Indians here.

India has 1 billion plus people waiting to come here.

I like turning it inside out on them and saying, “So your argument, if I understand it, is that the President is always correct, and makes perfect decisions because of his race, and as such, could only be criticized by a racist?”

They aren't what "Asian" means, generally, in this country.

But, to me, this says it all.

In America, racial designation is all about dividing people. We stovepipe groups, we give preferences to people in the "right" groups. And we do all this because we want to be "inclusive".

It's a joke.

Someone with a heritage that goes back to the subcontinent of India is simply Asian. Doesn't matter what anyone thinks about it -- the person is Asian. But, for certain people, you must come from the land of pagodas and have "slanty eyes" if you want to be "Asian". It's all about horrid stereotypes and it's all pushed by people who "care" so much about "diversity".

The whole race card thing is a tool of hatred and division.

Asian-Americans number about 16M, of which South Asians are about 3M. I guess the relevant question is whether somebody with roots in China or Japan views Jindal as being “one of us.”

Based on absolutely nothing, I suspect they don’t.

Earth to Juan: Obama is half black, half white. In fact Juan, he “sought out his roots” in Ireland some time ago. Was that him or some imposter? What he is not is American by way of birth or upbringing.

Quite agree.

We used to have a perfectly good word to describe East Asians, Oriental. But somehow it became pejorative, something that has never been explained to my satisfaction. The word simply means “easterner.”

The term “Asian” is, of course, much less accurate because it lumps in everybody from Turks to Israelis to Iranians to Arabs to Indians to Koreans. These people have no more in common with each other than Japanese and Swedes.

OTOH, Orientals or East Asians generally share some cultural influence from China, though still having great diversity.

They did the same with Hispanic, BTW, lumping a bunch of nationalities who felt little group solidarity together to form a large pressure group. That one worked for them.

Black Americans didn't swim over here by themselves.

We are where we are because the GOP and Lincoln emancipated them, slaughtering thousands of Sons of the Founders in the process, and then refused to repatriate them back to where they were snatched from.

150 years later and American society has devolved into the free stuff army, voting in marxists, redistributing taxpayer wealth , waging violent race war on the streets, and now bringing in reinforcements from central america to finish the job.

The Right either fundamentally transforms the country in 2016 right back to where it was before this degenerate communist son of a whore seized power, or it's over.

This is the last chance the Right is going to get.

NO EARLY VOTING

NO FELONS VOTING

VOTER FRAUD MINIMUM 5 YEAR SENTENCE.

THROW OUT ALL REGISTRATIONS, NEW NATIONAL VOTER ID CARD REQUIRED TO VOTE.

INVESTIGATE , INDICT, AND IMPRISON ALL SOCIALIST CROOKS IN THE CONGRESSIONAL PROGRESSIVE CAUCUS.

ALL STATES RIGHT TO WORK.

NO COMPULSORY UNION DUES.

DEFUND ALL LEFT WING PNP ORGANIZATIONS

For starters
