So, I read the second link, at the Daily Mail, and they say the RC-135 was in “international airspace” eavesdropping on the Russians.

Another mystery.

Where do you find international airspace in northeastern Europe?

In the middle of the Baltic Sea, maybe?

To be more specific, 'Alexandra' at the Daily Mail says

An RC-125 Five Joint
evaded the Russians by flying into Swedish airspace without Sweden’s permission... and reports

CNN reports that the RC-125 Five Joint evaded the Russians by flying into Swedish airspace without Sweden’s permission.
But can't even quote CNN accurately. I can't even type 'lol' and mean it. It's truly pathetic.

At least someone on staff got the picture caption more accurate.

Range is 3900 miles; likely flown out of RAF Mildenhall.

Good thing they flew chicken into Swedish airspace: They mighta gotten bumped by a Mig, landed in Russia and given Putin a better gift than the USAF gave China in 2001. /s
