The lights are going out in the land of the Enlightenment.

The violent, anti-Semitic nightmare Europe thought it would never see again after the Nazi Holocaust is raising its ugly head once more, this time on French soil.

Jew-hatred, mostly among France’s six and a half million Muslims, is reaching such threatening proportions that an increasing number of the country’s 500,000 Jews feel forced to leave their native land to ensure their safety. At one Jewish agency that assists French Jews to emigrate to Israel the telephone, it was reported, “does not stop ringing.

“For 2014, one will have to register a record number of departures of French Jews for Israel since its creation in 1948,” the agency’s director told the French newspaper Le Figaro. “It will safely exceed 5,000 people. In 2013, there were already 3,300, an increase of 73 percent compared with 2012.”

And one can expect the numbers to climb even higher after the recent displays of Jew-hatred in France that “shocked” and “dumbfounded” the country’s Jewish community. In two demonstrations on successive July weekends in central Paris, demonstrators, mostly Muslims of North African and Middle Eastern descent, allegedly protesting Israel’s invasion of the Gaza Strip, shouted anti-Semitic slogans, attacked police, burned vehicles and damaged stores.

Yeah. There is French anti-semitism. But this wave of vicious attacks is not being carried out by Pierre and Madeleine.

This is Achmed and Fatima. This is Islamic .... got that ISLAMIC violence.

This is so hard for Americans like us to understand. There are suburbs of Paris (les bainlieus) where the cops fear to tread. In Marseille, the Muslims in their djellabas think nothing of squatting in the streets. A trip on the Paris subway can be a nightmare for single French women. Mes amis, this is not your father's France. It is an Islamic nightmare.

10% of the population? I fear that is a number akin to our "11 million illegal aliens." I can take you to places in France where you won't see a Frog for hours!

Prediction: There will be a reaction ... and it is not going to be pretty.

Leftist anti-Semitism is nothing new. What is new is the EU and its growing tolerance of this new wave of anti-Semitism.

But lest we forget, the EU was founded and promoted by the same old wealthy European businesses, banks, and family fortunes that sponsored and promoted the rise of the socialist Third Reich back in the 1930s.

In my opinion, their long-term goals haven’t changed, and the EU is actually the face of the Fourth Reich.

It is the Left’s tolerance of such anti-Semitic behavior that is going to finally, I believe, convince American Jews that they shoulc no longer vote Democrat. I don’t say that because liberal American Jews are suddenly in love with Israel, since most couldn’t care less about that country.

I say it because of the rising hatred of Jews that is permeating the Left as it aligns more and more closely with the likes of Hamas and other muslim groups, many with ties to terrorism. And, yes, our President and his Sec. of State are prime examples.

In time, the Dem leadership’s tolerance of anti-Semitism among its fringe elements is going to result in American Jews becoming more and more uncomfortable when dealing with their non-Jewish American “friends.” It won’t get to the point where American Jews feel physically threatened, as in France, but they are quite likely to feel increasingly like outcasts in a Democrat Party that keeps trending not only further left, but further toward the muslim world as well.

They might never become Republicans, but they could very well decide that voting for GOP candidates instead of Dems makes sense to them, as it should.

The Democrat Party leadership has moved so far to the Left that it has no idea how outrageous are some of the behaviors they now not only tolerate, but implicitly endorse. The Occupy Wall Street demonstrators, for example, were often openly anti-Semitic, and yet they were also heroes of today’s Leftist leaders, who were surprised when the movement folded so quickly of its own weight.
