Dan Rather is trying to keep his goat smelling butt out of prison.
Contrary to popular belief Little Dan didn’t put out forged docs on Bush to affect the election.
Little Dan put out forged docs on Bush to get the issue of forgery front and center so that if anyone asked questions about the content of the al Qaida docs recovered in Afghanistan, which were being made public in the CTC at West Point’s Harmony Database, the claim would be made Bush was forging the docs to make it appear as if our little lefty friends were collaborating with the terrorist.
The doc they were most worried about is listed as doc # AFGP-2002-600321 in the West Point Database.
The “spontaneous” lie at Benghazi was also concocted to contradict what’s in that doc.
What’s in the doc they are trying so hard to contradict?
OBL himself says the media, meaning the news, is 90% of the preparation for the battle.
Simply put our little lefty friends and their allies in the news media have been orchestrating news stories as part of the preparation for the terrorist attacks.

There are no “preparations” for the terrorist attacks, they’re “spontaneous”.
