WESTLAKE, Ohio Officers responding to a call of suspicious behavior found Cuyahoga County Executive Ed FitzGerald and a woman who was not his wife in a parked car at 4:30 a.m. on a Saturday in 2012, police records here show.
Nothing inappropriate happened in the car, FitzGerald, now the Democratic nominee for governor, said Friday in a telephone interview after a campaign stop in Cincinnati.
FitzGerald, a former FBI agent, prosecutor and mayor of Lakewood, was not charged with a crime. He said the woman with him was a friend visiting from Ireland as part of a larger delegation he and others entertained the prior evening.
A witness, an electrician working after-hours nearby, believed something was amiss, according to a recording of his call to police. Westlake police provided that recording, as well as other audio files of police communication from that morning and a copy of a "call for service report," to the Northeast Ohio Media Group in response to a request.

BTW, I had to shorten the article title in order to post this.
How many wives would believe that one? "Sure, I was parked at 4:30 am with another woman, but nothing inappropriate happened."
Well, anytime I get lost I always pull into an empty industrial parking lot at 4:30 AM with a pretty blond next to me in order to get oriented. Don’t you? Doesn’t everybody?
You too? I thought I was the only one.
Me too! The pretty blond was my wife, so obviously nothing happened. :^)
Hmmm....If you are parked at 4:30 am with another woman, THAT is inappropriate!!
Dem pols are scum!
Great. All these years of relying on map and compass, and only now do I learn about this method. I feel like such a sap.
"Is the needle pointing north?"
from Ireland huh.....maybe she was kissing his Blarney Stone!
She's not his wife, so he must've been Dublin up.
” He said the woman with him was a friend visiting from Ireland as part of a larger delegation he and others entertained the prior evening.”
I’ll bet she was.
Yes, unless she’s a brunette.
Let’s be fair. Democrats have such low standards that few behaviors are inappropriate. Plus, he was very specific. Nothing inappropriate happened in the car.
Part Deux “I did not have sex with that woman”
A woman kissing his Blarney Stone? It wasn't really sex.
A man kissing his Blarney Stone? Whatsa matter? Do you hate gays?
A woman mounting him in an obviously sexual fashion? It was consensual. Monogamy and fidelity are so yesteryear! What do you want to do, turn back the clock to the days of Leave it to Beaver and segregated water fountains?
He was also driving without a valid Ohio driver’s license at the time. So, yes it did.
I did not have sex with that women???????? Love to hear what his wife think about the 4AM thing. Maybe BC can give him some pointers to tell his wife and make her not only believe him but to stay with him.
Gettin oriented are ya?
Every time I check out the local news it's like watching House of Cards.
“...in order to get oriented...”
“Oriented”??? Is that what it’s called now?
Back in the day, it was called “Hey baby!!! Are you looking for a Good Time? Want some company?”
No character is pretty much a prerequisite for being a democrat candidate for anything. This is just their true colors shining through.
Aaaaah! Another "Laws For Thee, Peasant, But Not For Me" Elite Overlord.
LOLOLLOL, she was just kissing his Blarney Stone. I hope this helps sink him, he's polling uncomfortably close to Kasich.
“..s part of a larger delegation ...”
She was “delegating” something, for sure...
Polling I saw showed Ed trailing by 10% or more. Apparently, Ed does better in polling this lady.
"Paint me like your Parma girlfriend, Ed !"
At least he’s not conducting exit polling, like Crist.
