Chris Moews, a lieutenant with the Milwaukee Police Department (left), is challenging Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke (right) in Tuesdays Democratic primary election.

Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s political action committee, Independence USA,
HUH? A Socialist political action group names itself Independence USA? Wouldn’t that be false advertising?

Bloomberg must being paying a panel to scour the internet. Look coast to coast for any political races ANY races, that he could invite himself to fiddle with. Some of these younger politicans will just say no to the money, because if accepted, they will become one of his paid puppets.

So, Bloomberg is trying to unseat a black sheriff?
Is Bloomberg a racist?

Bloomberg gave $400,000 in 2012 to Angus King, the liberal “independent” running for Olympia Snowe’s old senate seat in Maine.
King won the race.

“The voters can’t be bought.”
No, but they can be rented, at least in Mississippi.

God, I hope Clarke wins.
Bloomberg will someday pay for the constant evil that he does.

This is NOT an obscure race, Clarke, as sheriff, has taken out
public service ads on Milwaukee radio recommending residents to consider learning gun safety and being prepared to defend themselves as police resources are to thin to be there instantly. "We're partners now."
His kind of approach has national, and permanent repercussions. He is also a national spokesman and is unafraid to be seen with conservatives. This is one Dem whom I would happily support against ANY RINO.

Well, that sucks. But as we’ve seen, WI GOPers CAN win solid blue counties. :) (Go, Scott! Go!)
Clarke is a registered Dem, is he not? I’m not sure.

Really? Thanks for the info. This makes me support Clarke even more, not just to spite Bloomy.

Clarke is a registered Dem, is he not? Im not sure.
Robert Novak was a registered Dem as well, due to being in DC. It wasn't so long ago that most of the southern Republicans not named Jesse Helms had a resemblance to Lindsey Graham.
It wouldn't kill me to have a sane Democrat or too around. Also a perfect antidote for "Republican" Bloomberg.
As he is the Sheriff, we don't have to care who Clarke caucuses with. Let the Dems complain about him. We conservatives in Wisconsin respect and admire him.

We don’t register by Party in WI, but Clarke runs as a Dem. (However, he talks and acts like a Republican.) He joked, when he addressed our Republican club in Ozaukee County, that he’d be driven out of the Dem Party. He was great and got a standing O for his efforts. The best thing is that James Sensenbrenner refused to attend because he didn’t want to appear at the same event as a Democrat!
Clarke was far more entertaining and inspirational than stodgy old Sensenbrenner.
To: afraidfortherepublic
Sensenbrenner needs to retire. Like, 10 years ago.

Indeed! I’m so glad that redistricting took him away from us. (Except they gave us Petri, but we’re about to rectify that.)

That’s pretty much the litmus test right there

> $150,833 in television ads in an effort to defeat Milwaukee County Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr. and support his opponent, Milwaukee police Lt. Chris Moews. In response to the news of Bloomberg’s ads, Clarke said in a statement: “I trust the voters. The voters can’t be bought.”
