So what exactly is the defintion of “climate change”? The next ice age will arrive before we get an answer to that.
The definition is one of the world's semantic wonders. To me, an AGW "denier," it means quite literally that climate changes -- which it does. Climate change is what happens to climate over long periods of time, hundreds to millions of years.
To the "sustainability /Agenda 21" crowd it has multiple ominous political definitions. With the willing help of the media it's become shorthand for "human-caused 'global warming,'" and the multitude of terrible things it's supposed to bring: earthquakes, hurricanes/typhoons, rapidly-rising sea levels, forest fires, parched farmlands, hemorrhoids, bad breath, sexual impotence: whatever scary things they decide are needed to herd the sheeple into a totalitarian global socialist pen tended by the U.N.
OK!! Everybody pay attention!
Lesson for today:
1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.
2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.
3. The earth is one of the suns planets.
4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.
5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.
