Congo: Muslims murder three priests for refusing to convert to Islam

The  Qur’an says that “there is no compulsion in religion,” (2:256), but what constitutes “compulsion” is in the eye of the beholder. The institutionalized subjugation of the dhimma, with its regular humiliation and harassment, from which one can be freed for the simple price of converting to Islam, is not considered compulsion. Remember Steve Centanni and Olaf Wiig, the journalists who were kidnapped and forced to convert to Islam — even though their conversions were obviously coerced, their captors made them say that they were converting freely, and the captors probably believed that themselves. After all, the journos could have chosen to be killed instead.

Three Assumptionist fathers who were kidnapped on Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 by the Ugandan rebels of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF-NALU) operating in the Congolese province of North Kivu, had been “executed there a few weeks ago.”

“Fathers Wasukundi Anselme, Jean-Pierre Edmond Kisughu Ndulani and the three kidnapped Friday, October 19, 2012 by Ugandan rebels of the ADF-NALU, were killed there a few weeks ago,” reported Radio Kivu 1 broadcasting from the city of Goma.

It stated that “they refused to convert to Islam at the demand of the fundamentalist terrorists of ADF-NALU; that’s why they were executed, while Dr. Paluku Mukongoma died two weeks ago following a bout of dysentery….”
