I am not a Catholic and I am probably too old to actually go but I am to the point with this stuff that I’d join a Crusade if one was called. If I couldn’t go I tithe 20% of my wealth to support those who could go.
The admonition to turn the other cheek applies to individual instances however, the state does not bear the sword in vain and governments are placed on Earth to enforce the Justice of God. The normal arguments for pacifism put forward by Christians is that by being vocally non-resistant the evil ones will leave you alone do not apply here.
Right, can just imagine Gandhi using non-violent soul force against these guys.
