When the Founding Fathers wrote "We The People", did they mean to include the common man or did they mean "We", the elite, educated, landed gentry? America, and the world for that matter, has always been ruled by the elite and always will be. Public opinion be damned. The wisdom of the Founding Fathers was to include some check and balances on the elite through the Constitution, what little good that does us now.
