FedEx knows a chump when they see one. USPS probably loses money on the deal.
I’d say that around 70% of my UPS deliveries are done through the USPS “last mile” system. UPS collects and transports the packages to the local USPS distribution center, and lets USPS deal with the hassle of mailbox/doorstep delivery.
