'The siege of Mount Sinjar is NOT over'

An Iraqi MP and United Nations relief workers today dismissed claims by the U.S. and the UK that the humanitarian crisis on Mount Sinjar was all but over.

Yazidi MP Vian Dakhil claims some 70-80,000 refugees are still stranded on the mountain despite assertions from American and British leaders that they number only in their low thousands.

President Barack Obama yesterday said the ten-day siege by the Islamic State had been 'broken' by missile strikes and humanitarian aid drops, allowing tens of thousands of Yazidis to escape.

Downing Street also said the situation had improved so much that further aid drops may not be necessary.

But Ms Dakhil said this was not the picture she was getting from other Yazidi leaders she had spoken to in the area.

Does that mean that Obama is lying when he said : MISSION ACCOMPLISHED? ( you don’t have to answer that ).

(excerpt)

Galvanized by the brutality of Islamist militants marauding through Iraq, the United Nations Security Council appeared set to approve a resolution on Friday aimed at severely weakening them by choking their sources of money, weapons and foreign recruits.

The resolution, which demands that the militants “disarm and disband with immediate effect,” would authorize the use of economic or military force to ensure compliance, the strongest tool at the Council’s disposal under the United Nations Charter.

Despite the history of bitter differences among Council members over how to address the war in Syria, the Council appeared to have reached a shared determination to act in neighboring Iraq, where a Sunni militant extremist movement that straddles both countries has created a political and humanitarian crisis. The final draft of the resolution, made available to The New York Times, was expected to be approved by all 15 members.

Sinjar is “over” .... really. Is it NORMAL for people to give up their earthly possessions and mvoe to the top of a mountain where there is no food or shelter? Let Obama and his family go there for vacation if it’s “over”... everything the empty suit says is politically motivated and a LIE... He has done MORE THAN BIN LADEN to support, aid and abet the muslim murderers calling themselves “jihadis”. IS shoudl be wiped out with non stop bombings. If not as the leader said “see you in new york”.... if would only hit the DC pols and the white house.... who would care??? no one. And that is exactly how they feel about WE THE PEOPLE.. they dont care

Of course it’s over. Barry said so.

If he can declare a war over just because he doesn’t like it, he can sure ‘nuff ignore a bunch of Christians on a hilltop.

That was Barry telling the media to stop covering it.

Unfortunately for him we can still access foreign news sources.

It’s not possible to hide tens of thousands of people on a mountain. Someone is obviously lying.

The folks on Mount Sinjar are not the “right kind” of Iraqis.

Only Muslims are worthy of “rescue”, and only certain sects of Muslims, at that. These Yazidi and the Chaldean Christians are not the “right kind”.

Obama: “Can’t those people hurry up and die? This is going to make me look bad, and I still have a week at Martha’s Vineyard left!”

Those are Obama’s private thoughts. To him, the Yadzidis are just a distraction from his golf game.
