Nearly a week after a police officer shot and killed Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., police on Friday identified the officer as Darren Wilson.
Wilson is a six-year veteran of the Ferguson police with no disciplinary record, Ferguson police chief Thomas Jackson said at a news conference on Friday morning.
Jackson provided few other details about Wilson at the news conference and did not take any questions. He said that Wilson had been responding to a call shortly before noon on Saturday when there was a 911 call regarding a “strong-arm robbery” at a convenience store.
A description of a possible suspect was given over the radio, saying this person was walking toward the QuickTrip convenience store in Ferguson. An incident report handed out by police on Friday labeled Brown as a suspect in the convenience store robbery, which involved the theft of some Swisher Sweets cigars.
Wilson left the call he had been responding to and encountered Brown on Canfield Drive at 12:01 p.m., Jackson said.

We don't know that for sure although I suspect you are right as I have noted in other posts. But this image and others of the black Darren Wilson are all over the net right now. This one is just a blip.
I believe that picture has been identified as a “Darren Wilson” on the South Carolina state police force upthread (in this thread).
yep, been there and done that ... but was never uncomfortable. Guess felt was at a safe place.

Already they are saying that the guy who robbed the store was not MB. And that the shoes MB was wearing when he was shot are differnt.

Shot in back, he was running away from danger.
Shot in front, was maybe approaching the officer instead.

Why is it that the alphabet MSM wants immediate information from the police in Ferguson but accepts the Zero’s stonewalling of all the F&F, Benghazi, IRS and other investigations?
CNN this morning had an attorney on who covered, very well, the facts in Ferguson. He claims that it looks like a justified shoot. The Female Cohost could/would, not accept his explanation!
