Independent U.S. Senate candidate Thomas Ravenel and Beaufort County Councilman Rick Caporale will talk about their campaigns with Beaufort Tea Party members at 5:30 p.m. Monday at Fuji's Restaurant on 97 Sea Island Parkway on Lady's Island.
Ravenel is the former state treasurer and newly minted reality TV star. He joined the race against Sen. Lindsey Graham last month as a petition candidate with the support and signatures of more than 17,000 registered voters across the state.
Caporale was set to defend his seat representing part of Hilton Head Island and greater Bluffton against Colleton River Plantation resident Lynn King. However, King failed to collect enough signatures to qualify as a petition candidate, the county indicated Friday.
For more information, email BeaufortTEAParty@gmail.com.
People should read Ravenel’s views on the War on Terror and Radical Islam. He is firmly in the camp with Code Pink and other Birkenstock wearing No Blood For Oil types. Get a load of his idea that if we just understood the Jihadis a little better, all would be well.
Welcome to FR.
Are you from SC?
As much as I hate the GOPe Ravanel is much left of the Pauls?most culture
Id be wary
He could be the new Wilbur Mills......
I share his love of southern women though
But what about marriage hoss
A Rand Paul type dude; huh?
I am sure cameras will be following Ravenal for his TV show. This is a made for reality television campaign.
No, I’m in Texas, but I’ve got friends in Myrtle Beach. I love visiting there. I’m pulling for Ravenel in the SC race. Any enemy of Lindsey Graham is my friend.
I believe in traditional marriage. Maybe someday, Ravenel will settle down and marry a lovely lady. Same goes for Lindsey Graham. Maybe he will find his lifetime-dude and marry him some day.
Graham is worse than Thomas to me
Even though I don’t know all particulars from his bust it sounds like he got railroaded if he was only buying toot for his parties...
I take it GOPe is his enemy
