It seems that if Brown had suffered relatively serious injuries like this, it would have been mentioned in a police statement within a day or two, in order to put the shooting into the context of an attack on an officer. Why have the police been silent when it would be to their advantage to get this out? This alone makes we waiting for official confirmation of this report.

I thought the same but who knows who is really calling the shots (pardon the pun) out there.

If this is an accurate tick-tock then that first officer on the scene has the most info about Wilson's injuries if he arrived only 3 minutes after Wilson and Brown's first encounter:

12:01 p.m. — Officer Wilson encounters Michael Brown walking on a street and the shooting follows. Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson said Friday that Wilson did not know about the robbery at the convenience store when he encountered Brown.

12:04 p.m. — Another officer arrives on the scene after the shooting, and an ambulance is contacted to treat Brown's wounds.

When did the ambulance arrive? Did the same treat Wilson's wounds?
