Better than nothing. Hence the term I used: LAST DITCH EFFORT....your goal is not to shoot legs, it is to get rounds downrange quick and in an emergency because in a firefight firepower usually wins.
We are talking about <1% of firefights where this method is used mind you. It is about as rare as training to chamber your semi-automatic with your teeth/feet because you are greivously wounded and you need to reload and charge your firearm or clear an FTE/FTF. Tactics: Know them, train them, use them.

What do you mean? You say to aim for the leg area but your goal is not to shoot the legs? What is your goal? Warning shot?
