“Members of the jury, let me run thru some indisputable facts:
- Brown had openly robbed a store and physically threatened (arguably assaulting) the clerk. See store security video.
- Brown was, minutes later, approached by police for odd behavior (walking down middle of active street). See police car dash cam.
- Wilson suffered a broken eye socket during their confrontation. See doctor’s report.
- Brown was shot by Wilson FOUR TIMES in the ARM. See coroner’s report.
- Brown was _subsequently_ shot by Wilson TWICE in the head. See coroner’s report.
Defense submits that there is no sane & rational interpretation of these facts which does not conclude Officer Wilson was in genuine fear for his life, and that the only way to preserve his life was lethal force, numerous other options having been tried.”
Be ready for widespread rioting tomorrow. (Might not happen, just as Zimmerman’s acquittal failed to stir significant protests...but then again, the LA cops’ acquittals sparked huge riots. Prep accordingly.)
