It is NBC fanning the flames of civil war. Under the protection of the 1st amendment they parse their words in the most inflammatory way.
The “youth” in St. Louis is the second black youth shot in as many weeks. Was there a mention of the approaching police with an upraised knife. NOPE.
The first “youth” an “unarmed” GIANT of a man was not shot, rather he was “GUNNED DOWN”. A deliberate parsing of words to inflame....I think so. I do indeed regret the death of Michael Brown, but personally being 6’5” and of the same weight as Brown, I will tell you bluntly that no one of that size and bulk, young and in the prime of health, can be truly considered “unarmed”.
While in the Navy, several times I was ordered to a stint of Shore Patrol, the Navy cops in liberty towns. When I asked, “why me?” I was merely told, “go look in the mirror.”
I could be classified as a “teddy bear”, but happily never once did anyone raise a dispute with me.
