A rocket fired by terrorists in Gaza has caused considerable damage to a synagogue in the southern Israeli city of Ashdod.
Volunteer paramedics from the United Hatzalah emergency organization rushed to the scene, after a massive explosion was heard. Miraculously, however, no one was wounded

No one injured. Imagine that.
The restraint of Israel and Israel’s Leaders have been awesome. God knows (I) would not be so restrained. God’s Will not mine ... Be Done.
I don't think it's awesome, I think it's stupid.
I hate to say this, but the only way to shake the public and perhaps even the MSM out of its illusion that Israel is being heavy handed with Hamas, or that “both sides” are to blame, is for things like this to happen. People need a visual of the destruction that these thugs are wreaking on Israel.
If two nuclear weapons went off in Israeli cities tomorrow, and Israel responded in kind, the liberals would be screaming for Jewish blood. Don’t underestimate their twisted world view.
I could not be as restrained as Israel and Israel’s Leaders have been. Awesome, nobody died.
It only guarantees more Israelis will die down the road, if Hamas isn't completely wiped out now.
I agree. Your reason is the one I too adhere to. The Israelis are endearing their hearts and souls to an enemy that cares only for their destruction, as you know. I could not be as restrained. While Israel’s children fly Paper Airplanes, hamas’s children are taught hate. Is simple to see which side prays to a true and living God. I stand with Israel.
‘Sounds like it’s time for a couple of direct hits on historical mosques know for raising terrorists.
A Beachhead, civilization has only, in that land of hate and death. May God protect civilization or give a strength of Sampson to civilization against the evil of moslems.
What is awesome about their restraint?
Israel’s policy has been to provide advanced notice to Palestinians living where the rockets are launched..to let the civilians get away before destroying the buildings. The IDF possesses superb counter battery capability..meaning that as soon as a rocket is launched, the location can be computed, pinpointed, and return fire placed on the target.Yes, Palestinian civilian lives will be lost, but better them than Israeli children
How big are the warheads on these rockets. They don’t seem to be very big but they cause a lot of damage.
gaza would be gone and in the Sea had each of us (myself included) been in charge of retaliation. Our house our home. Nearly nobody could have been this restrained, Israel has been. Awesome.
I cannot agree that the life of an innocent Israeli child is more important than the life of an innocent Palistinian child. Same goes for any nationality.
If people must die, let the involved adults do the fighting and the dying.
Have you forgotten the pictures of these same Palestinian "innocents" celebrating wildly after 9/11?
During WW II..the civilian populations of Germany and Japan were bombed to help end the war. Horrible yes, but far better than having London and NYC bombed.
There is NO moral equivalency in war. There is only good and evil, right and wrong.
I predict that a Hamas rocket is going to hit and destroy the Al-Asqa mosque, thus clearing the way for the rebuilding of the temple.
the Israelis had to grit their teeth and practice great restraint not to retaliate when Saddam was sending SCUDs during DESERT STORM
maybe this is another such time to indisputably let the world see who is the aggressor and avoid retaliating (except covertly) which strengthens the aggressor’s strategy
yes, more unknown than known. Fog. Add 'r' and Frog.
This is the problem with fighting asymmetric wars under PC ROE. Hamas is using “innocents” as human shields. I use the term “innocents” in quotation as IMHO they are the root of the problem, they voted for and support these inhuman mongrels and until the mindset of these “innocents” are changed and they become weary of supporting the cowardly Hamas leaders this type of warfare will not end.
I know it is not the children that support Hamas, but children must have parents. If these parents had any concern for their offspring their support for Hamas would wane. As it shows no sign of doing so we must conclude they are complicit I.E. combatants.
Time to target mosques now—leave none standing to hold rockets.
Our Veterans, Our Military, Our Love, and I agree with you. Let’s start with that moon rock in Mecca.
50 to 350# with up to 190# of the warhead being HE. A 500# has about the same amount of HE.
What you said is confusing. Or maybe its the word awesome that’s confusing.
Are you using awesome as a compliment?
If so, are you saying that if you had been in charge, you would not have been able to do the awesome thing, and instead of letting them kill you and your family, you would have defended yourself and your family?
Do you think that as you ‘grow’ in your faith, you will in time, ‘grow’ enough so that you will allow them to kill you so that you don’t have to hurt them?
Or do I have it all wrong?
Blow up all the evil mosques
“Awesome”? More like “misguided”.
First question ... yes
Second question .. yes
Third question ... only when dead
Fourth question .. (this one is more elaborate) I do not know, maybe I have it all wrong.
Full agreement ... confusing.
Pray though that the birds are at rest.
G-d bless the United Hatzalah volunteers. These guys work in the spirit of the NYFD. They’re on their way into danger zones when people are still running from them. The organization functions on donations.
What are YOU saying? Are you saying that we have no right to defend ourselves? By not defending ourselves and letting ourselves die, we condemn our families, and loved ones. I find it HIGHLY selfish to go without a fight.
That is something you need to take up with no-to-illegals, as it appears as though that is what she is saying, as garbled as her message is.
May the birds fly high and fast. (LOL)
