Taxpayers to host Ottawa Town Hall meeting Saturday

Displeased by Congress and troubled by the recent voting record of U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Channahon, a citizen group is hosting a 16th Congressional District Town Hall meeting at the Ottawa American Legion, 901 La Salle St., at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30.

"Since Congress represents the people's house — yes, it is our house — we will move forward for the best interest of the people in the 16th Congressional District," explained event coordinator Rosanna Pulido. "If Congressman Adam Kinzinger cannot lead, we will take the lead ourselves and fight for the American people and the American taxpayer."
