Firstly i don’t care what that sheikh thinks. Secondly, any US administration, to stop Islamic State, AQ, etc.. could’ve seriously stated or made initial moves to blow up mecca, medina, and any other Islamic related mosques, shrines and so on if AQ, IS, Iranian mullahs, et al continued with their overt & covert international thuggery. No one doubts the devastation the US military can bring. It would’ve put Islamists, muslims & any other related grps in their place. Then, encouraged a more sane dialogue & actions by Islamic scholars & co. Instead all we’ve seen is accommodation, appeasement and facilitation of various Islamic grps & their never ending, outrageous demands abroad & in the US. In the end it’ll either come down to the US taking actions per those initially stated above, or the Islamists will do to the West what the US just doesn’t want to do to the Islamists & the muslim world. 12 yrs ago people could be fooled by those (east & west) who wanted to windowdress ‘Islamic’ matters but increasingly not. Btw, same goes for US allies & western countries such as France & UK.
Blow up Mecca. Then there won’t be any Islam to deal with, just a bunch of lost souls to be turned on to the glories of Festivus and Scientology.
