Ukraine's prime minister has said he will ask parliament to put the country on a path towards Nato membership.

Arseny Yatsenyuk said the government was sending a bill to MPs urging that Ukraine's non-bloc status be cancelled.

The remarks come as Nato holds an emergency meeting to discuss the crisis in eastern Ukraine.

The West has stepped up its accusations of direct Russian involvement in the conflict, following advances by pro-Russian rebels.

On Thursday Nato released satellite images it said showed Russian forces inside Ukraine. and said more than 1,000 troops were operating there.

The Pautards will arrive, presently, to inform us that all this is NATO’s fault.

No thanks. NATO does not need countries run by people that burn tires in their town square and act like Occutards.

This is directly asking for war. No way. You can’t enter NATO while you’re already being invaded. It doesn’t work like that. Can Iraq join NATO?

Instead they should follow your advice and appease Putin.

Putin is turning out to a master manipulator...years of KGB training vs a guy who can’t throw a baseball 5 yards. Who do you think was gonna win that match up.

Where did i advise appeasement? Its a different story poking the bear though when a massive army is sitting on your border and no one practically wanting to help you. So get real.

If Ukraine wants to join NATO (if they are invited) and they don't because they are afraid of Putin, that would be appeasement.

That's what you are advising them.

There was a report about 2 injured Ukrainian officers exploding themselves with grenades, killing some Russian troopers in the process, in order to avoid being captured.

I do not think Ukrainians are the meek sort who let their lives be ruled by tyrants.

If you aren't rubbing yourself raw for a war with Russia, you're a Putin supporter. Childish I know but that seems to be the thinking.

I simply recognize the fact that we're on the verge of collapse ourselves and don't need any more welfare states. As far as I'm concerned, any pushback on Russia from us should be in our own hemisphere where Russia is making gains with no response. Pushback there should come from the EU.

If one calls appeasement what it is then they are called a war supporter.

Childish.

Exactly, and what i said was, no one is going to help them because the fact is, none of them want to take on Putin, they are all scared of him simple plain fact. Like it or lump it. Obama handed the role of leader of the world to Russia by being the biggest ditherer and wimp the US Presidency has produced.

No appeasement about it, Ukraine can fight all they like, The EU is not going to lift a damn finger to help them, totally dependent on russian energy. Its a new world out there, better get used to it.

I don’t think the US should send troops. I think the US should send them arms though.

Not directly but he will make damn sure it does not happen in Ukraine’s case.

Some people needs lessons in world views of how the Russians operate.

You saw what happened when Ukraine tried to do the whole EU thing............did they send armies or get involved...bot really, NATO will steer clear of this mess on its own.
