It takes time to train an effective combat pilot. I suspect these new ISIS pilots are going to be falling out of the sky on a regular basis. Syria has a fairly effective and competent IADS. These goat humpers aren’t going to be very good once their missile warning systems start blaring.

It might be cover, to allow Saudi and Pakistani pilots to fly for ISIS, while maintaining deniability.
The Pilots may only need to fly a one way mission—on auto-pilot most of the way—How far can a Mig go on one tank of gas? Maybe to Babgdad? Mecca? Cairo? To US ships in Gulf? Isreal? Maybe shoot down a US Plane—maybe Air Force One? Maybe ship it to Mexico—fly it across the border—hit White House? Freedom Tower? Disneyland? las Vegas? New Orleans? Houston? Lots of creative ways to use warplanes.
