Blackhawk Down was a failure of presidential leadership in that Clinton denied the military the use of heavy armor and more air support to destroy the Islamists in Mogadischu.

Going after Aidit was a tactical decision which would have worked if we had gone “all in” with every weapon at our command at that time and in that area.

The Pakistanis also took heavy losses during an ambush in which we failed to help them.

Clinton and Berger and his military leaders were cowards and to blame for what happened, not our guys on the ground and in the choppers.

Blackhawk Down

Mogadishu should still be a huge, smoldering, black plain of ash and glass.

We should have leveled that entire city after what they did to our guys. And if we had, 9/11 might never have happened.

It should be official US policy to End the Entire Existance of any rathole full of savages who would do what they did. We should react with such sudden, brutal, merciless and indiscriminate vengeance that the next time a US solder so much as stubs his/her toe in some other godforsaken cesspool of a 3rd world town, the residents all come streaming out with bandages, water, food, wheelchairs, pillows, blankets, and white flags, terrified of what we might do if we think they even considered having a notion to think about mistreating our soldiers.
