The popularity of the Hamas militant group among Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip has spiked significantly following the 50-day war with Israel, according to an opinion poll released Tuesday.
The poll, conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research and headed by leading Palestinian pollster Khalil Shikaki, indicates that 61 percent of Palestinians would choose the Islamic militant group's leader, Ismail Haniyeh, for president if Palestinian presidential elections were held today.
Only 32 percent would vote for current President Mahmoud Abbas, Hamas' rival, the survey suggested.
The support for Haniyeh marks a stark increase from a poll in June, conducted by the same pollster, which found only 41 percent of Palestinians backed the Hamas figure. At the time, Abbas had 53 percent support.
The poll also suggests a majority of Palestinians — 72 percent — support adopting Hamas' armed approach in the West Bank.

I wish the IDF would just level the place. I saw that Israel took 1000 acres of the west bank. Good for Israel, that must have been the concession for Israel to leave Hamas alone. Not worth it, when will they learn that it doesn’t matter.
If this poll is accurate then the Palestinian’s are the dumbest group of dumb asses on the planet.
Hamas forced people to dig tunnels and the MURDERED them to keep the locations secret. Hid tunnels under schools and hospitals. Launched a war against a far superior force knowing that more Palestinians wold be killed then Israelis would be killed.
I wonder if any Hamas people had a hand in this poll?

Poll or no poll, one cannot feel sympathy for the so-called Palestinians if they continue to back and support the terrorist organization Hamas as their leadership. Fools are fools for a reason. Stupidity can’t be fixed.
Let them live among these savages who use them as human shields and allow so much destruction of their homes, businesses and towns. If that is how they want to live and exist, so be it. Let them wallow in their own uncivilized world.
Obama just launched a targeted strike on a terrorist leader in Somalia just like Netanyahu targeted Hamas leaders in Gaza.

there is something seriously wrong with Palestinian culture. They intentionally killed thousands of their own people, killing dozens of Jews in the process, and their own people celebrate that victory.
No such thing as “Palestinian culture”, or for that matter, Palestinians. The Arabs created that false moniker solely for the purpose of destroying Israel and pushing “Arab unity” under a new Caliphate (which ISIS recently declared, funny enough). The goal of the “Palestinians” is to turn everywhere in North Africa and Asia Minor back into what it was prior to World War I, just for starters; and to turn the Holy Land back into South Syria.
