My bet is that this guy was Jewish by reason of his last name. Why, in the name of Heaven would a Jewish reporter be wandering around where ISIS could capture him? It’s a sad day when this kind of barbaric act takes place, but common sense says that unless you are willing to accept the consequences of placing yourself in harms way, you shouldn’t be anywhere near the ME, particularly if you are Jewish.
On another level, we should ( and evidently are) taking direct action against ISIS. And we don’t need another ten year war to capture the ISIS “leadership” and put them all to death through the artifice of a Military Tribunal. There should not be any of this “hire them a lawyer at our expense” $hit and bringing them here for a trial!
Clancy’s “Without Remorse” comes to mind on how to deal with these peace loving muslims.

Guns, particularly handguns, have never been anywhere near as common in UK as the US. Prior to their various gun control laws this was just a cultural difference.
