Members of the Islamic State, a violent group of extremists presently terrorizing Iraq and Syria, have released a video threatening President Vladimir Putin and vowing to wage war in Russia's restive North Caucasus. A Message to Putin
A video released by Al Arabiya and reportedly filmed in a seized airport in the Syrian province of Raqqa features an Islamic State fighter seated in a military jet, saying: "This message is for you, Vladimir Putin! These are the aircraft you sent to Bashar [Assad], and we're going to send them to you. Remember that!"

Putin is ambitious enough to make this a bank shot - have a righteous cause of action against ISIS/ISIL/IS/whatever, and use it as a pretext to establish and/or expand Russian military influence further and further out from his borders. Covering, coincidentally, pretty much all of the territory of the former USSR, and then some.
Here’s the part a lot of people forget about terrorism: it is 80 percent psychological, and 20 percent physical violence. The message of terrorists is that: we have infiltrated your nation: now we do a lottery on who we are going to kill or attack. It’s possible for people to even turn on their own nation, or fellow citizens, if they are scared enough of the threat, or sufficiently fed up. It’s even possible that we could see ISIS pull off another 9/11 attack in the US. I’ve seen enougj calls ignored from the parents of terrorists that it is disturbing. I also see the scary potential of terrorists infiltrating and assasinating their choice of politicians to prove a point.
Don’t forget Putin’s nuclear trump card. The Russkies could turn the entire Middle East to radioactive glass if they so choose.
Seemingly or conveniently overlooked is that the Russians are already in Syria fighting ISIS and others for Assad.
They are supplying a steady stream of heavy weapons and armored vehicles either by air or by sea via the large Russian naval base at Tartus.
Apparently removing the nuts gave a strong message.

From what I have seen as to world affairs I don’t respect him but as a child of Russian immigrants and with a brother killed on Okinawa in WWII an overseas duty in the same war I wish I understood the guy better.

The Russians were winning in Afghanistan until the US started supplying the Afghans with Stinger missiles to counter the helicopter gunships.
The Russians were quite willing to shoot them dead right where they found them.

Well...that can’t be said for the millions of Americans who will gladly help rid the world of these demons if they chance bringing their agenda to our shores, borders, or neighborhoods.
I have no doubt in my mind that the REAL men & women of this nation have hearts of FIRE when it comes to their freedom, and are willing to fight to the death FOR it. We have not all been dumbed-down, programmed, reprogrammed, or saturated with the technologies that were designed to control us, therefore, will without hesitation, defend the country they know, love, and would never leave, or lay into the hands of an enemy.
Our leader may not be doing anything about it, but we are not all spineless, shrinking violets in the face of calamity. So...I say, come on, bring your knives to our gunfight. We will be happy to send your black souls back to the “pit” from which you came. I also say, “test” us in this, in spite of the horrendous reputation that our figurehead has developed for America, worldwide. Obama doesn’t represent the American people. WE DO. We do not FEAR an enemy, we hunt you down like a lion seeking it’s prey. And when we find you, not even allah can help you because he is bound in CHAINS. We WILL DEFEAT you! Now, AND in the end. SO-SAYETH-THE-LORD!!!
