New York’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade will finally end its ban on gay groups marching in its annual Irish celebration, organizers said Wednesday.
The organizing committee said this move to “change of tone and expanded inclusiveness is a gesture of goodwill to the LGBT community in our continuing effort to keep the parade above politics.”

By capitulating to the lie the AOH has now made the parade about nothing but politics - if one group is allowed to march under their own banner promoting their own cause then all groups must be allowed to march under their own banner promoting their own cause. To do otherwise would in fact be discrimination.
Where does it end? Pro-abortion marchers? Nambla marchers? To include one group and not others is discrimination.
By capitulating to the lie and phony ginned-up "controversy", the AOH have shown weakness of mind and weakness of heart. Damnable cowards, I'll pray for your soul. Just not yet.
Could they find another name for this travesty? It is a disgrace to defame the name of faithful St. Patrick in this way, and the Roman Catholic Church should make this clear to parade organizers.
It is tragic that some people give up on their faith.

My parish priest and I were chatting today, and he seemed down, I asked what was wrong and he told me gays will be permitted to march in the St Patrick's Day Parade.
I mentioned they always have been permitted, and he replied, no Martha, now they are permitted to march under a gay banner.
Its the queers flaunting their perverted lifestyle to the Christians, in your face!

I’m not sure the AOH has control anymore. It seems that they handed it over to an “independent parade committee” some years ago.
I no longer know who has the parade permit. It’s all very confusing.
