A New Jersey recreation center memorializing John F. Kennedy won’t be renamed after President Obama following a reversal by local officials.
The Willingboro Township Council voted 5-0 on Tuesday to rescind its controversial decision to rename the John F. Kennedy Center, which once served as the town’s former high school, as the Barack Obama Center. More than 200 people reportedly applauded the decision during a meeting in the building’s auditorium, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
"We have to listen to the people,” Mayor Eddie Campbell told the newspaper. “The people have spoken, and we believe in government by the people.” …

If nothing else, it’s considered bad form to name things after living people. It’s a little bit cult of personality. The PO has a rule, no stamps with pictures of living people and I think that’s a great idea.

It must have been. These nerds tend to err on the side of PC. I think much of PC (not all) is just another term for anti white racism.
Not that JFK was the best president we ever had (screwed over a chance to remove Castro and got us involved in Vietnam) he was still better than our current president. It’d be a big insult to remove his name and replace it with a snot-nosed rookie politician who’s mainly going to be remembered only as “da foist bwack pwesident”.

If it was once the town’s high school, wouldn't it always be the town’s former high school? (Unless they began using it as the town's high school, again.)
This could be interesting because it might be occurring to even the most dedicated Obama Kool-Aid drinkers that there really isn't anything that Obama has touched during the last 6 years that he hasn't made even worse, except maybe his golf clubs. I think history will show Obama ranked among the three worst presidents in American history.
