When did she become a legislator?
No doubt that Sibley School in DC is following these guidelines to the letter.
You think the bitty would share some of her lobster!
Instead, schools pump the boys full of drugs and turn them into zombies in the name of fighting ADD-ADHD. The mostly all female staff is happy now there aren't boys disrupting classes and these zombies sit in class like the good girls they've been tranquillized to be like.
As a kid, and I assure you I was not deprived, I felt like I was starving before lunch and dinner. The meals back in the 60’s were nutritious, but insufficient for my needs. I can only imagine a meal containing hummus. (Gad, I hate hummus.)
Hummus is what, chick peas, olive oil and seasonings? What’s too fatty about that? Olive oil is good fat, right?
Lunch Lady Mooch fail.
Feed them Low fat low protein diets when their brains are developing and you will have an army of malleable brain dead zombies...
My girls went to a public elementary school - and they did have one recess. However, for their middle school years, we were able to send them to a small, private Christian school. There, they had two recesses - morning and afternoon - because the administration realized the wisdom for these kids to get out and run around a bit. :)
That food looks to be more at home in the mideast then Illinois.
I guess that's what she's thinking.
You are exactly right about getting out and blowing off steam. Kids need a break to be kids and burn off that huge surplus of energy they have. Sitting in a chair for hour after hour is not only boring, but it is not healthy for youngsters. Why is this such a huge concept our “educators” can’t understand? When the kids get into middle or junior high and high school they need some kind of organized exercise. It is even more important at grade school level where the kids are bubbling over with energy that needs burning off. This is not rocket science.
What do legislators have to do with laws?
That's so 20th Century. Where have you been?
My sons lunch for today (ham and cheese sandwich, yoo-hoo and a mounds bar ). Tonight’s menu...steak, potatoes and milk...then homemade cookies.
