Bring Out Your Dead

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

Two years ago my husband got “Fifth Disease” from our granddaughter. It’s a very mild childhood disease that most kids get and it usually goes unnoticed, with very few symptoms. But boy did it make my husband sick.

Obama and his administration ALL need to be arrested immediately.
They’ve let 1000’s of children into the US who are carriers of viruses that our children have NEVER been exposed to and have no antibodies for while the immigrant kids are already immune.
CDC doctors should be screaming!
IT’S CRIMINAL and aimed at our destruction.
They’ve spread these kids and the adults with them all over the damn country and we don’t even know where they are!
ONE of the reasons that we HAD immigration control in the first place was to stop potential for disease spread.

This Picornavirus/Enterovirus has been around but was only identified as a pathogen within the last decade. It is a Rhinovirus that causes respiratory disease that is highly contagious. Since it is new, there is a large population of parents and children that are susceptible. The way it is spreading I don't see any near end to the outbreak until it has run its course within the continental US.
Just think of it as a preview of what is to come with a more lethal virus that overwhelms our medical system.
