French president Francois Hollande's term does not end until 2017, but for the first time ever Marine Le Pen's Front National party is on top in head-to-head polling.

Her father, Jean-Marie Le Pen once shocked France by taking Front National to round two in the 2002 election, but was defeated by incumbent president Jacques Chirac who obtained 82% of the votes.

She must win, or France will become an Islamic state. It is that simple.

Marine Le Penn is AGAINST more Muslim immigration.

Look for Muslims in France ( 6 million strong ) to come out en masses to VOTE AGAINST HER.

Citing "admiration" for Putin is probably not going to play well with French voters.

Our author doesn't understand the French very well.

I had hoped Marine Le Pen would strip French conservatism of its more unsavory elements, but I'm afraid for her (and many Frenchmen) the real enemies remains les Anglosaxons and the Jews.

Vichy II here we come.

All fascists seem to admire Putin, is this a sign or what? Tell me who your friend is...

Given the Putin love-fest here on FR and National Review because he’s so “strong”, I’ve started to think we need a conservative “men seeking men” personal ad section...

Leet us hope Thee Conservatives can reverse things in France—it is their only hope. We really need a new Charles Martel.

the best thing she can do, because thats not necessarily a good group to align ourselves with, is to change the conversation, change the mood. Let someone who’s not anti Jew carry the sanity in immigration banner.

there has never been a French leader or a French political party who, during my lifetime, I have found complete favor with; their negatives to me are always as much as their positives, to me

A good profiler would see an obvious hidden relationship between Obama, the female chaos nurturer, and Putin, the male ultimate figure of ruling that chaos.

Her party is quasi-fascist, not conservative. Not liking muzzies is probably the only good thing about them.

I guess I’d support her in a runoff against the socialist swine Hollandaise sauce, but I certainly hope she doesn’t make the runoff, she’d have NO chance of winning and would be a horrible President if she did win.

As lousy as the mainstream “right” is in France, they are certainly the lesser evil compared to the Le Pennies and the Socialists.
