A day after a new video surfaced showing Ray Rice hitting his then-fiancée in the face in a hotel elevator, prompting the Baltimore Ravens to release the running back and the NFL to increase his suspension from two games to indefinite, Janay Rice defended her husband and criticized the media.
"I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I'm mourning the death of my closest friend," she wrote in an Instagram post. "But to have to accept the fact that it's reality is a nightmare itself. No one knows the pain that the media & unwanted [opinions] from the public has caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret everyday is a horrible thing.
"To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass off for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific. THIS IS OUR LIFE! What don't you all get. If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you've succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow & show the world what real love is! Ravensnation we love you!"

Real love? I guess he really knocks her out.
I guess the beatings hurt a little more when they are not followed by six figure lifestyle, huh?
Mrs./Ms. Rice needs to check out what happened to Nicole Brown Simpson who wanted the gravy train even though she knew O.J. was a thug.
Janay, Ray-Ray’s gonna be driving a cab now, deal with it.
Real love of the money.
So...while I never support spousal abuse in any form...
What happens if a spouse beats on the other...regardless of which sex is pounding on the other sex, should that person be FIRED from their job at WalMart or McD’s etc?
Does this mean if you get a DUI or other criminal, domestic type crime...you automatically get fired from your livelihood before any criminal prosecution??
I understand how personal behavior can impact your professional life, but what ever happened to due process?
Black culture. Marcia Clark found this out the hard way, with the OJ trial.
She was convinced, that if she chose jurors who were black females, that she could sell them on the “domestic abuse” of Nicole, by OJ.
The consultants who were hired by the DA’s office, advised her against it.
The consultants had polled groups of black women and found that they didn’t buy the domestic abuse angle.
In fact, the black women took the approach that violent behavior between couples isn’t abuse at all. It’s simply people fighting. Completely normal.
Money talks. This woman wants to be married to a pro-football player even if it means she is occasionally slapped around.
She knew what he was when she picked him up.
Follow the money.....
Sick.
They deserve each other.
Wife Slams Media; Defends Ray For Slamming Her
She will forever be remembered as the gal who was dragged - not carried - out of an elevator, after being knocked out cold. But, go ahead and slam the media, honey.
Most athletes/celebrities have contracts that include a “morality clause.” It is separate and apart from civil law and “due process.” They waive that when they accept the multi-million dollar contracts and commit ‘immoral’ acts, such as beating one’s wife, killing one’s girlfriend, etc. The entity cutting the multi million dollar checks is entitled not to have its reputation damaged by the said immoral behavior.
Lawyers are going to be lined up "around the block" to take on the NFL over this one.
Just like every other sports suspension stemming from off field behavior, including recent NBA ownership changes, he’s not in trouble for the incident, he’s in trouble for the bad publicity. If you beat up your wife in your McD’s uniform and somebody records it and slaps it on youtube yeah you’ll probably get fired, not for beating her up, but for associating their logo with spousal abuse. Football players ALWAYS wear the logos, both of their team and the league, they’re defending their logos.
I think it’s fair game to hit women when they hit first, and to sue widows and orphans covered for ‘errors and omissions’ insurance policy.
