They need to seek out a coalition.

This needs to be a world action.

ISIS is a loose cannon that threatens all of these Muslim governments. None of them want ISIS. But they are also afraid. That’s what you are seeing here.

So we should do their dirty work?

Why are we involved in Syria? Why are we working to overthrow Assad?

What we have is another “dirty little war” courtesy the CIA and Obama’s State Dept. which under both Clinton and Kerry have been working to overthrow Assad. Why? First it was the “red line” of chemical weapons, but for at least a year prior to that the CIA had been training Syrian rebels and Petraeus was orchestrating weapons delivery to those Syrian rebels through Turkey from Qatar and Saudi Arabia. After the “red line” the US began overtly supplying weapons.

Overthrowing a country is an act of war. Congress has not declared war. What is Obama up to?

There is so much the media withholds, that they know of, on what Obama is doing yet they withhold it knowing full well there would be an outcry.

Even the article attests to the fact Obama going to a Mosque today of all days, and inviting these Staunch Islamic Muslims to lunch would create issues.....so they just don’t get it out there!........and to think he went to the Mosque “First”! Here on 9/11!....Righteous indignation doesn’t hardly cover how I felt over this!

I long ago stopped relying on our press while the rest of the world gets the facts....at the very least you have a fuller picture of what’s really happening going outside the US.

Good. Now we have the pretext to remove Turkey from NATO. Thereafter we should immediately call for a Kurdish state, and official U.S. condemnation of the Armenian Genocide.

Enh. They did the same to Dubya, I recall. Turkey should have “Jive” added to its name. I’m relieved that at least the Iraqi government is in the coalition. Probably was a near thing.

Is anybody even surprised?

After Obama’s Godawful track record of screwing over staunch, solid allies brought into the fold and maintained by every other President before Obama?

This is going to be the first war where no one but the bad guys show up!

...”ISIS is a loose cannon that threatens all of these Muslim governments. None of them want ISIS. But they are also afraid. That’s what you are seeing here”...

I don’t believe that at all....common sense tells you if they wanted to rid themselves of ISIS they are certainly able-bodied enough to do so if they would unite against them...they won’t because they’d have to pay for it with their own people and they fully know the world will do the job for them.

Further ISIS is the spearhead of what the Islamic Nations desire ultimately....the only ones afraid are the Arab leaders who stand to loose their comfortable lifestyles....they could care less about their people or each other.

Airbases? Kuwait remains grateful. Saudi Arabia remains cooperative when put to it. UAE and Abu Dhabi, anyone? I think one or both really would rather be western, if their people would let them, or if they knew how.

Of course, it’s really moot when you have multiple carrier groups and nuclear subs. America lands its jets anywhere there’s enough water.

Who could have guessed that the Turks, who are funding and allowing Jihadis on their borders, would backstab their fellow Sunni Muslims because His Arrogance has requested (wink, wink) it.

I’d announce that we are closing our bases in Turkey. Let them suffer the loss of revenue for not “allowing” us to use the bases WE pay for.

Again — these Muslim dictatorships do NOT want to be ruled by ISIS — they want to retain power. However they are afraid of ISIS and their own people. So they will walk a cowardly tight line.

Fight ISIS and it helps the Kurds. Anyone really expect Turkey to do anything that would help the Kurds?

In a just world the Kurds would have their own country by now... lord knows they've earned it.
