The United States government is sending thousands of military troops to the west African nation of Liberia as part of the Obama administration's Ebola virus-response strategy, the White House said late Monday night.

....'A general from U.S. Army Africa, the Army component of U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), will lead this effort, which will involve an estimated 3,000 U.S. forces.'

“The U.S. Army is uniquely qualified for such a task.”

I would believe that if...it were a different place and time in the world when there was true military leadership.

Obama could have done this months ago if that is what he wanted to do. So why now? The reason Obama is doing this is quite simple - he is a Nobel PEACE prize winner. He is sending a few hundred to fight ISIS and now thought he needed to send 10 times as many in the so-called name of peace as an ‘offset’. He is doing this to appease his leftist base and offset his “warmongering”.

The prudent handling ... observing and testing them for about a month.

And then hope they don't have sex for two months.

According to WHO "Men who have recovered from the disease can still transmit the virus through their semen for up to 7 weeks after recovery from illness."

“Ebola is more of a national security threat than ISIS?!

Boots on the ground for a disease but NOT for sentient beings who yearn to kill our women and children?!”

Don’t underestimate a killer virus. The 1918 flu pandemic killed more people than were lost in World War I.

This is a good idea in regards to training a cadre of personnel in a real world mission.

Train them over there in case it ever happens over here.

If an ebola break out occurs in the US it’s a little late to consult the text books on what to do.

At least now we will have experienced people.

Why on earth would the military be sent to a disease zone?>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

To ruin, dismantle, demoralize and dismantle the military.Obama misses no opportunity he can find to do that.
