The article is misleading as all getout. Witnesses who appear before a Grand Jury are allowed to talk about their experience. The only people bound to secrecy are the grand jurors. There are probably thousands of examples of news stories where a person told the reporters what they said to the grand jury.

Exactly. ...Glad I checked through comments to see if anyone else would post what I was going to say.

I spent an hour or so in front of a Federal Grand Jury of about 30 people, responding to a Fed Prosecutor and his two assistants. ....Members of the GJ are not permitted, by law, to disclose what transpired. ....I was permitted to disclose the questions and answers during my time in there.
