Genesis 6:8 makes it abundantly clear that to know the Lord starts with a penitent and obedient heart. He teaches us to love, and not to offend gratuitously. If someone takes askance what they regard as an irreverent use of vowels due to their lack on the scroll, it's no skin off my nose to respect that, nor is such prohibited anywhere in the Bible. Short speech on the other hand...

Because it comes across as self righteousness as the Pharisees who proclaimed their prayers loudly on the corner
In the evangelical segment these days, we have gone to the extreme of treating God like some Santa Claus figure we can go and ask for goodies, or we act like God is our equal and a buddy we can share stupid jokes and casually goof around with. Between popular christian culture and pastors who want to promote coolness, this is attitude is spread.
God is a fearsome Judge- even with His mercy and kindness.
